Uniting for a Plastic-Free World: World Environment Day 2025 Celebration”
World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5, 2025, across 8 schools including Shyamsundar Balika Vidyalaya and Shyamsundarchal Govt. Colony Board Primary School with the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution.”
Around 327 students, teachers, parents, and community members participated. Ms. Ahira Khan, Asst. Sub-Inspector of Uluberia Police Station, along with civic volunteers, also joined the event. Key activities included: Poster-making on sustainability and environmental issues , Tree plantation drives in school campuses and cleanliness campaigns to remove plastic waste, with students pledging to avoid single-use plastics both in school and at home
